Flood Inundation in 26 RWs Begin to Recede

Jakarta Regional Disaster Handling (BPBD) noted that most of 26 RWs which flooded begin to recede this afternoon. Residents begin to clean their houses which flooded by Ciliwung river overflowing.
Water already been receded almost in all areas, just a few areas that still flooded, especially near the river.
City BPBD Working Unit Head, Husen Murad, said only several RWs that located in riverbank are still flooded.
"Water is already recede almost in all areas, just a few areas that are still flooded, especially near the river. Indeed, not 100 percent receded yet," he said when contacted on Thursday (2/16).
Ciliwung River Overflowing and Flooding 30 RWsIn several areas which not receded such as in Bidara Cina, Cawang, Kampung Melayu RW 07 and RW 08. While in another areas are already receded.
Even, residents who evacuated since morning already came back to their houses.
Flood in East Jakarta including Cililitan, Cawang, Kampung Melayu, Bidara Cina, Cibubur, and Rambutan Urban Villages. While in South Jakarta including Rawajati, Pengadengan, Bukit Duri, Kebon Baru, and Pejaten Timur Urban Villages.
